DonnaMarie Vaughan

DonnaMarie Vaughan – “Telling Stories”

Sunday August 4, 2019, 10 am – 12 noon, Kennedy Room, Millennium Hotel | $4 [Tickets]

A Discussion and Networking event for writers. If you have written a short or feature film script, come share your journey on how you went from “idea” to scripting that last page.

DonnaMarie will moderated the discussion and offer information on what a
screenplay competition looked for in evaluating scripts and what set apart the
scripts that went on to be recommended.

Other topics include: what makes a Reader want to keep reading; creating memorable characters; special considerations when writing faith-based material; and whatever else the group wants to discuss.

We encourage participants to discuss their journey as a writer and share experiences we all can learn from. Please bring your business/contact cards to further network after the event.

Who should attend? New and seasoned writers. We also welcome filmmakers, directors and producers who can offer a perspective on what they look for in a script when developing a project.

DonnaMarie Vaughan is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter and actress from the Buffalo, NY area. She also has stepped into the shoes as a director (film and stage), casting associate (film and stage) and has worked as both a production and administrative assistant on films during her career, allowing her to experience and understand many components of creative project development. She has been a screenplay evaluator for many years, working with different festivals across the country.
