A cheerful young Catholic priest met the murderer, a repentant old dying sinner, of his father during hearing confession. As a priest he must forgive him. But as a human being, it was so hard to forgive the murderer of his father.

Director Statement

This short film, “The Confession” is a religious film inspired by a true story. It is dedicated for “The Year of Mercy” for Catholics. But the film is above love and forgiveness. So every body can be touched by the story no matter who they are.

Director John La Raw is a Catholic priest from Myanmar. He wrote and directed four religious-cultural and educational videos 15 years ago. Now he is studying Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking (directing major) at Chung Ang University, Seoul, South Korea.
